Our joint briefing on the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts (PCSC) Bill

We’ve submitted our joint briefing on the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts (PCSC) Bill with Rights of Women, LAWRS, Rape Crisis England, Wales, Working Chance, SBS and EVAW. In it we state that 'the government’s plans for policing and sentencing under this Bill will further, entrench racial inequality in the criminal justice system.’Imkaan opposes the PCSC Bill. It will exacerbate VAWG and institutional racism, further criminalising Black and minoritised women. We oppose the government statement that discrimination and racism is 'objectively justified'
