Imkaan provides a collective voice for the Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) ending violence against women and girls sector

STRATEGIC ADVOCACY 

to ensure that policy and practice dedicated to ending violence against women and girls reflective of Black and minoritised women’s and girls’ experiences of violence. 

DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORT

to the specialist BME ending violence against women and girls sector through the provision of information, capacity building and peer support.

RESEARCH AND EVALUATION

informed by the direct needs of the sector, to improve service delivery, highlight good practice responses and BME women’s pathways to care and support.

ACCREDITED TRAINING AND PEER EDUCATION

on all forms of gender-based violence, including specialist sessions on domestic violence, forced marriage and ‘honour-based’ violence.

CONSULTANCY

on project management, team building, strategic planning, development and needs assessments.

PRESENTATIONS, PUBLIC SPEAKING AND MEDIA CONTRIBUTIONS

on issues related to violence against women and girls and the specialist BME ending violence against women and girls sector.
