This collaborative fund between Imkaan and Rosa will provide grants of up to organisations that address violence against Black and minoritised women and girls. This is a closed fund, meaning applications can only be made by organisations that have been invited to do so.
Grants will support immediate and direct needs arising from the Covid-19 crisis for BME VAWG organisations. Organisations can apply for one of the two types of grants available through this fund: grants of up to £35,000 for BME women-led refuge providers, and grants of up to £20,000 for BME women-led organisations providing services that work to end violence against women and girls.
Organisations that have been invited to apply are advised to read the FULL GUIDANCE DOCUMENT, and have a look through the FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.
About the programme
We know that BME women’s services are on the frontline supporting women and children. We know they’re severely impacted by the lack of resources to meet current demand. And we know these organisations have experienced incredibly high demand during this period as they support multiple intersectional needs.
While this is a response fund rather than a sustainability fund, we recognise organisations will be reflecting on how to adapt their work in the long term. Rosa and Imkaan will continue to think collaboratively about the necessary long-term sustainability for BME women’s organisations addressing VAWG.
Resources and Support
Rosa and Imkaan will jointly host a ‘How to Apply’ webinar to help applicants develop their applications. This will take place on Wednesday 10th June 2020 at 1pm – please register to attend here.
If you have any queries about submitting an application, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org, inserting ‘C19 BME Grant’ as your email subject and providing your organisation, contact name, and contact number.
