Mission Statement
To provide strategic advocacy and targeted organisational support to refuges serving the needs of BAMER women, girls and children experiencing violence and abuse.
Imkaan Statement of Core Values and Terms of Reference:
- Undertake research and provide capacity building, support and training to BAMER women's refuges nationally.
- Highlight and advocate the needs and concerns of agencies providing support to BAMER women, girls and children fleeing violence and abuse.
- Ensure that the needs of BAMER women experiencing violence are incorporated into the development of national strategic initiatives.
- Develop a broader network of skilled contributors towards the debate and action on VAW and BAMER women, girls and children.
